He's witty, his charming, and seems rather full of himself. Which he is, to an extent. But he's also a cunning individual with a razor sharp intellect and a scheming mind constantly hatching plans that involve getting treasure.
He prefers to keep his past a secret, though for those he's close to he may reveal a tidbit here or there as needed.
Once a judge in Archadias, when his father lost his mind Balthier took off in a commandeered airship and never looked back. That is until his past came up behind and bit him square on the rump.
He was making repairs in the engine room of the Strahl when suddenly the ship went through a thick cloud of Mist, and touched down in Flamingo Heights, Florida. Balthier has no idea how he and his crew of Moogles got there, but for now he plans on lying low and taking up a teaching position.
